Enough

There are only two places in Scripture where an individual stated, “I have enough.” Both utterances are found in Genesis 33, within two verses of each other (vs 9 and vs 11). Esau said it first, then his brother Jacob. I find great significance in the statement itself (considering that both brothers were exceptionally wealthy), and in the fact such words have only been recorded twice in the entire Bible.

My observation came at a time when I was contemplating and researching the supply of material resources on the earth (substances, commodities, and all materials needed for life), specifically in light of my conviction that there is sufficient provision within creation for all creation at all times.
